KGB - Killer Gourmet Burger

Aduhai, lamanya kita bertiga tak hangout sekali...Ira baru dpt baby baru..so habis je pantang cepat-cepat makcik ni roger ajak nak lepak2..sangap dah duk rumah lama..Hehehe

Coincidently, September is my birthday..so ala-ala birthday treat gak la..
Mcm biasa tempat yg paling neutral, Bangsar. Area ni dok tengah2 dari kitorang. So fair and square..
Masalahnya sebab dah selalu sangat port kat Bangsar ni, dah buntu kedai mana nak try pulak.
Mula-mula Kathy suggest Eat Me..pastu google skit, kedai tu desserts je..ala..nak makan dinner..
Ok, then carik balik decided kita try KGB..I tak la berat sangat nak try, burger tak termasuk dalam senarai favourite food I. Tapi si Ira ni memang favourite dia.. Ok la, kasi can meraikan sempena lepas pantang..Huhuhu...

This burger bakar craze macam dah suam2 je skarang ..kalau dulu one after another orang bukak kedai burger.. So KGB ni antara yang dah lama gak..Kitorang je yg x pernah try lagi..food must be good sebab kedai bertahan lama..and they've just open up a new branch kat TTDI (restoran Mohsin lama).

Fries memang best, buat sdri punya ni..plus the herbs and dipping sauce memang ngam..

Bella Bomb - grilled chicken, portobello mushroom, triple cheese, and special sauce

Bobcat - beef patty, jalapeno mayo, cheese, roasted green chilli

Bash - grilled burger, beef bacon, cheese, caramelized onions and yang special, maple cornflakes..

Double portobello mushroom...nice...

Wah memang best burger-burger kat sini..Burger lovers out there..should give this joint a try..It goes second in my list of best burger joint, first would be Burger Lab.

Highly recommended especially my burger Bobcat tu, pedas...memenuhi citarasa.

Lomang Apak - Gulai Lemak Salai

On our way back from JB, biasanya mesti singgah Melaka, but this time around hubby decided nak carik salai-salai kat Kuala Pilah.
Sampai Kuala Pilah around 3pm, just nice, time for lunch. Pagi tadi had a heavy breakfast so timing just right.
First round nak carik salai2 dulu.. hmm datang on weekdays, gerai-gerai tepi jalan yang jual salai semua tutup.. ada few je..hmm what to do..
Got ourselves some daging salai and puyuh salai.
Then time for lunch, hmm dah lewat gak ni, our first kedai we went, masak lemak salai dah habis.. :(
Tgk kat foursquare, orang recommend Lomang Apak ni..ok so here we go..

Pernah masuk JJCM jugak kedai ni..luckily still ada lagi lauk. Yeayyy...

Masak lemak cili api dia best, typical masakan orang Nogori..and ada pucuk ubi kat dalam dia, first time for me..Daging and puyuh salai pulak, fuhh memang best bau2 asap salai tu memang membangkitkan selera..cuma sambal belacan kurang power skit..ok2 je..

Kat sebelah kedai ni pun ada jual salai2 jugak, beli pulak keli salai and buah bachang, makcik tu cakap masak lemak letak bachang sedap...hmmm tak sabar nak try ni balik nanti..

Cold Stone Creamery

While in Singapore, lepas penat jalan2 along Orchard Road, bumped into this kedai ice cream.
It's called Cold Stone, apa yang unik about this place, lepas dah pilih ice cream and toppings kita tu, they will mix and gaul everything on top of a cold stone, hence the Cold Stone name.

My niece- dah besar pun nak naik stroller..penat katanya..haiihh kalau la ada stroller for adults, I pun nak jugak :)

Overall, not bad, very thick and rich ice cream. Come to think of it, ada ke ice cream yang tak sedap..hehehe. Since this shop is not in Malaysia, sapa yang nak try something like this, we have the Cream & Fudge Factory here. Kat Wangsa Maju tak salah..

P.s: Also don't forget to have the SGD1.20 ice cream with roti or wafer along Orchard Road as well..

Badoque Restaurant

Wah, dah lama teringin nak try tempat ni, been following their Instagram acc -badoquecafe , and looking at their menu, just makes you drool...
Since we are going into Singapore, our lunch place have to be this place.
They have two outlets, one in Simpang Bedok and the other kat Upper Thomson. Cehh macam tahu je kat mana kan..Sebab tak tahu yang mana dekat, so bedal jela. We choose to go to the Simpang Bedok outlet. 
Sebab drive sendiri, takda hal la..just key in dlm GPS..maka sampailah.. kalau naik public transport, kena kaji lebih dalam..and if anything you can always ask these guys..

Restaurant ni owned and run by Malay guys, so confirm la Halal. No worries.
What's good here, hmmm, rasanya semua sedap kot..heheeh..macam la dah rasa semua..tapi looking at their menu and customers feedback, memang mostly sedap kot..

We are here at 3pm, and still there a crowd in here..business is good..

Badoque Ribs - a must have here. perrrghhh daging dia is like melting, lembut and well marinated..boleh lawan Tony Roma's. And I'll give Badoque's higher points compare to Tony Roma's cause of the size..

Kepak Bing-bing - a crowd favorite, but only if you are into spicy food, cause it is damn spicy. Tapi sedap, unlike your typical spicy buffalo wings, biasanya its spicy & masam2 ( western style of spicy), macam Tabasco sauce tu..But here, padas dia terangkat wooo...kena dengan selera orang Melayu.

Perut dah kenyang, time to visit relatives in Sg.

One thing to note here, portions are big. Kalau datang berdua, order satu dish dah cukup.
So its best if you come with friends and family la, party of 4 upwards..baru la seronok makan macam2 jenis..:)
The shop itself agak kecik, tapi ada outdoor dining area jugak, no problem kalau datang ramai2.

Kopi & XoXo

By now, rasanya mesti ramai yang dah tahu that Nora Danish and the gang ada buka restaurant/coffee shop kat Bangsar, Kopi & XoXo. Mana taknya, hari2 penuh kedai ni, iyelar, ND kan antrara followers paling banyak on IG, berapa juta follower dah skang ni, mmg ramai la peminat dia.. I ni kategori peminat ke?..Hehehe..minat sesangat, tapi takla fanatik. Basically attracted to her beauty and personality. Very down to earth, humble and tak sombong. 

One fine day, since my sis ambik half day, she called and wanted to have lunch. Apa lagi, laju je ckp Kopi XoXo la.
Kedai bukak kul 12.30, kul 12 dah tercangak dah..memang first customer la gamaknya..hewhew..Ok la..tak la serabut sgt..
Few minutes after that dah start ramai dah, time kitorang makan, kedai dah penuh..pergghhh, business is good....

Menu simple jer sini, tak banyak sgt, very straight forward. Yang byk org order is Bubur Betty,  I nak try ni, my sis pun nak yg ni, hmm takkan dua2 nak makan benda sama. Ok fine I order la lain..black pepper beef set-kalau x sedap siap, nak mengamuk :P
Woh crowd favourite,  goreng pisang cheese - Gorpis pun ada kat sini, tapi sebab awal lagi so diorang belum start.

Betty was in da house, sadly ND takde :( . Have the same exact cardigan, sib baik tak pakai hari tu..

Luckily what I ordered turned out sedap, not bad jugak black pepper beef dia. Beef dia liat sikit, my opinion, patut potong kecik sikit, besau gedabak, tak muat nak suap dlm mulut yg kecik ni :) Best part rasa black pepper dia tak overwhelmed sangat. 
As for the bubur, well bubur is bubur la kan, nak sedap camne lagi, so yang penting is the lauk yang goes with it. In this case the kangkung belacan, to me very sedap. :) Spicy and the kangkung is still crunchy.
Ice cream pulak, we got it as a complimentary, maybe for the first few customers kot. Walaupun free, tapi sedap wei....its orange dried apricot flavour..memang terasa orange tu, mcm orange juice pastu terus bekukan..very very refreshing.. kalau korang ke sini jangan lupa have this for desserts.

Hopefully the cafe lasts, not bcoz of the celebrity status but by its great food and drink at a great location. And from what I had, I think they will.
Hope they will expand the menu with more great food.
