Winter Lover

So the hunt for the best Mille Crepe continues..hehehee..xde la fanatic sangat about Mille Crepe ni..but coincidentally its time for the manjers to lepak2 and catch up on things..so what could be better.

Winter Lover Bakery at Kota Damansara..somewhere near the Strand. They specialize in Mille Crepe and Macaron. Tapi tak minat macaron sgt cause its too sweet, so tak try out pun.

Since its a working day, so set jumpa sumer after work la..around 6pm.

1st Floor

The shop is located on the 1st Floor, so mula2 miss jugak signboard dia..banner shop for rent tu yg lagi clear.. :)
The deco is very simple and cute..with wall stickers of trees..cantik sangat..

The cake is at RM9.90 a slice, so its on par as what others are selling. Hmmm the taste..to me i think biasa jer..Tak la x sedap, maybe flavour dia kureng skit.. to me mille crepe goes well with soury fruits..mcm peach, berries...etc.. tapi kat sini tak de..not my day..:(

My opinion, if you're trying out mille crepe for the first time, you should opt for Humble Beginnings or Nedeje.
Oh they do have alcoholic cake as well ya..so take note!!

Hunt for the best Mille Crepe - Nadeje

Wah..ever since I had my first tasting of mille crepe at Humble Beginnings , tiba2 dah jadi minat giler..
When I did my research online, mostly cakap the best mille crepe is at Nadeje.
Apa ke benda la nama Nadeje.. maybe its french la kot..sebab mille crepe ni originate from France.
Nadeje Cake House has been around for quite a while but in Malacca..hmm kenapa la tak tau sebelum ni..kalau tak sure dah singgah masa kat Melaka..

Good news is they just open up a branch here.. at 32Square to be exact. Area Sec 14, PJ kat Masjid Bulat tu...

Their signature blue & white stripe ..dari jauh nak kenal :)

First impression - Shop was full & have to queue..hmm must be really good. Mamat in front of me tu siap order one of each..perghh.. Ramai jugak yang order take away..even whole cake..best part siap jual cooler bag..talk about good business.

Busy..busy..

Spoil for choice...i loike...

Compare dengan Humble Beginnings (HB), I think I like both..hehehe..dua-dua sedap..so tak boleh decide..but kat Nadeje ni lagi banyak choices and kedai dia besar la dari HB yg kedai suku je tu.. :)
One thing to be aware here is some of their mille crepe has alcohol, in fact most of them do, so yg non-alcoholic tu ada la 4-5 jenis je.. :( . But kalau nak order whole cake, bole request in advance any flavour without alcohol.

Humble Beginnings - Mille Crepe

Calling out all dessert lovers....tempat ni wajib masuk dalam senarai kedai yg terbaik..Humble Beginnings.

Their specialty - Mille Crepe..for those yg tak tau apa tu Mille Crepe..here goes (extracted from Wikipedia)

"Mille Crepe is a Frenchcake made of many crepe layers. The word mille means "a thousand", implying the many layers of crepe"

Its a cute and lively restaurant- kedai separuh je..landmark dia sebelah Subway in Bangsar.

Kedai kecik, so meja pun tak banyak la, lucky we came tak ramai orang masa tu, ye la mkn dessert je pun, people come & go..bukannya tmpt nak hangout lama-lama..

Actually we came here in the evening, after our Mother's Day lunch. So enjoyss the pics kay.
