Ipoh Kacang Putih @ Buntong

Selain Limau Bali Tambun, White Coffee, perkara wajib when we are in Ipoh is Kacang Putih - maruku/kerepek.

Those yang tak tau, a place called Buntong in Ipoh, is the heart of Ipoh Kacang Putih...nama exact tempat pun Kampung Kacang Putih, so what do you expect....memang banyak rumah/kedai kat sini yang jual maruku/kerepek..

Kedai yang we all selalu pegi is CTS.
Kalau dah membeli tu, penuh la bonnet..hehehe. Pricewise tu tak sure la murah ke tak, tapi rasa memang best and its freshly made..sumer buat kat sini jugak..

Plan B - Ipoh

When in Ipoh, kalau dah jemu nak lepak Oldtown White Coffee.. why don't give Plan B a try..
It's the same Big group restaurant as in Klang Valley, so you're familiar with it's food and drinks..
But what differs here is the decor and surrounding shops..

It's located next to Sekeping Kong Heng, this area of old shop houses are transformed into a chic, classic and hip area..Photo junkies do bring ur DSLR with you..lots of good picture to be captured here.

New Hollywood & Vanggey Yong Suan

When in Ipoh,,two of the must visit makan place is Restoran New Hollywood & Nasi Vanggey aka Nasi Ganja..

First up for breakfast we head to Restoran New Hollywood, Canning Garden. konsep typical chinese kopitiam, with all sort of local chinese delicacies. No worries, all food here are guaranteed Halal, they've also been featured in The Star Newspaper as its a truly 1 Malaysia Restoran, all sort of races be it chinese, malay or indian dines here.

Well my fav here is their kopi ais & roti goyang (roti bakar with half-boiled egg on top)...marvelous..

Others like the curry mee, char kuey teow & charkoi are also good....macam-macam ada sini..

For lunch, kena try Nasi Vanggey (aka Nasi Ganja)..They actually occupying front part of Restoran Yong Suan..so you just order air from the taukey & nasi from the mamak. Got to be here early (11.30am) or it will be jam packed..
There's another Restoran Vanggey in Greentown, but this is way better, but if its closed you can do with the second one la. :)

Luckily, kalau dine in tak payah beratur, just look for a table (you have to share table) & order.
